Tools

I buy, sell, and restore antique tools.

I tend toward users, meaning that I don't have interest in tools for display or for maintaining collector value.  My restoration work always prioritizes functionality over appearance, and I'm a bit discriminatory in what I buy.

Right now I don't have a lot of images of any kind of inventory, but I have lots of stuff: feel free to reach out and ask if you're looking for something: lastname (hackler) with first initial (n) at gmail dot com.

I'm interested in buying lots of things.  The following categories interest me most:

hand saws
hand planes
chisels
knives
carving tools
hammers
smithing tools
axes
lathes
turning tools
vises
clamps
measuring tools
marking tools
garden tools

I have less interest in the following categories, but it doesn't hurt to ask:

farrier's tools
livestock tools
hay knives
wrenches
levels
screwdrivers
sockets

If you have old tools that you want to sell please send me some photos and I'll tell you what I think, and if I'm interested we can arrange a closer look.  The distance I'm willing to travel will depend on what we're looking at.  For longer drives I'll insist on a establishing a rough idea of price expectations before meeting up.
